Part of my job as Creative Director at Marcali Designs is staying on top of trends, especially in home and design, which basically means that I spend a lot of time online reading various design blogs and online magazines (I know, life is tough). One of my favorites is MyDomaine. Today when I booted up my computer and logged on to their website, I was blown away by their stunning feature on Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick’s Austin, Texas home. The article describes Decker’s decorating style as “instinctual” and the actress herself says, “There’s really no rhyme or reason to it. I just pick what makes me happy.” The ranch-style home is a testament that if Decker ever decides to forego her acting career, she’ll have no trouble working in the design field. Seriously, I’m ready to move in! The following pictures are just some of my favorites:
Love this shot of Decker with one of her English Bulldogs (it looks just like my brother’s dog!)
Decker fell in love with the cookies and cream look of the kitchen’s Arabiscato marble.
The masculinity of the open hanging shelves, balances the feminine touches in the rest of the kitchen.
I love the youthfulness that the artwork brings to this traditional setting.
I saved the best for last. I seriously love everything about this room. *Swoon*
