I have made no secret of my love of all things Audrey Hepburn (and Grace Kelly for that matter, but that is for a different day). One of my favorite online reads is Kelly Golightly because she sort of reminds me of Ms. Hepburn (like, especially if Audrey Hepburn were to take up residence in Palm Springs) and her blog is just all sorts of nifty and fun. Totally off topic, but I actually met Kelly Lee (the lovely lady behind Kelly Golightly) at Egg & Dart (they represent our furniture line in their showrooms) where she was part of a panel at the LCDQ Legends of La Cienega event and she is super cute and sweet in person. Anyway, she recently posted on her blog and on her Instagram about her advanced copy of the new Audrey at Home: Memories of My Mother’s Kitchen by Audrey’s son Luca Dotti, which was published by Harper Collins. Not going to lie, I’m kind of jealous that I couldn’t get my hands on an advanced copy, but that doesn’t make me any less excited about the book. And from what I’ve seen, there appears to be a lot that I am going to like about this book. It is apparently full of recipes, photos and personal stories about Audrey. What is not to love? I cannot wait for my copy to arrive (this totally warranted a pre-order). Just take a look at some of these preview pages from amazon (click over for larger shots). Audrey at Home hits bookshelves June 16.
